Xyenta's powerful and scalable suite of data management modules has been developed to address the financial and regulatory challenges faced by the Insurance market. Our Framework of data management modules provides the building blocks to our solutions. Individual modules can be deployed to target specific data or process issues, or modules can be combined to provide an end-to-end solution. Our experienced developers use the modules to provide you with bespoke solutions that are flexible and fully scalable.
Built using the Microsoft BI technology stack our suite of data management modules readily integrates into existing technology and data environments, leveraging your investment in existing systems and legacy platforms. Control, security, reconciliation, and configurability come as standard.
Our modular approach enables organisations to deploy individual modules to address specific issues knowing that any solution is fully scalable – allowing subsequent integration with the broader platform.
Our import engine delivers the ability to integrate data from multiple sources. Built to handle incremental and real-time data loads from multiple source systems (including ledgers, policy systems, claims systems, and ad hoc tables), the import engine handles data import, transformation and pre-processing with a full audit trail and reconciliation suite. The import engine supports our near real-time processing capabilities that processes data into the SSIS cube at regular intervals per client requirements.
The allocation engine enables a user configured set of rules to be applied to any process that requires data to be allocated, including expense allocations, investment allocations and quotashare calculations with the management of rule changes and version history as standard. The allocation engine is flexible, scalable, and fully responsive to the demands of both real-time actual data and scenario modelling for the budget and forecast process.
The management module provides the control, IT security, configuration and user management needed to manage the delivered solution. Our solutions are tailored to integrate with our clients' internal processes for system management and deployment. Information security is a must have in any Finance solution and the management module enables security and access to be set at specified levels.
Scheduling provides the functionality that enables the business to run processes according to their timetable. Scheduling runs in the background to run data loads, and subsequent processing routines, and can be centrally managed or user configured, all within a controlled and auditable environment.
Moving to an operational environment that automates data flows and removes manual interventions requires greater transparency of process status and processing exceptions. The status dashboard provides users with insight into the operational performance of their processes and enables prompt actions to validate and remediate data as required.
The rules engine allows users to define and validate processing rules, allowing for changes in business structure and processes, and the regulatory environment. The web interface allows users to create and manage multiple calculation and allocation models, with version control and audit history as standard.
The posting engine provides an interface between the calculation engine and the general ledger, enabling double entry posting to a range of general ledger systems. It produces controlled and auditable postings, and enables real-time analysis of postings before they are run and after they are committed to the ledger. The posting engine enables large data volumes to be posted to the ledger with pre-posting checks and ledger reconciliation built-in. The data integrity and validation checks ensure that potential posting issues are identified promptly, increasing processing efficiency and reducing the load on ledger systems during time-pressured reporting periods.
We make data available for easy ad hoc and formatted reporting as required by users, typically using a combination of SSAS cubes and SSRS reporting functionality. Users can generate reports in Excel using either pivot tables or more formatted Excel formula driven reports; or reports can be produced by developers in a more fixed format using SQL Server Reporting Services. We also deliver outputs in other tools per client requirements.
